MARGARET “MARGE” OBAD
1918 - 2015
Marge aged 96 Beloved wife of the late Steve. Dear mother of Richard (Patricia), Marilyn (Gianni), Pecunia and the late John. Mother in law of Barbara. Grandmother of Stephen, David, Marco, Jenny, Kevin and Scott. Gr Grandmother of Madison, Brayden and Nate
Marge and Steve lived and traveled extensively abroad. Steve was posted to Australia by the Ford Motor for several years. She enjoyed trips to the casino, playing cards at the Berwyn Senior center and playing Bingo. Marge was a parishioner of the Divine Child R.C. Church. Marge belonged to D. C Women’s Club and Bowling League. Most recently Marge enjoyed the HFTSAA Social Club She and Steve were long time members of the HFTSAA Alumni Association. Steve was President in 1992.
1925 - 2014
Tom died peacefully November 07, in Ann Arbor.
He was married to Joan for 68 years. His family legacy also includes 8 children, 14 grandchildren, and 8 greatgrandchildren.
Tom attended the Henry Ford Trade School, graduating January 1943.
He served his country in WW II in the Navy. and fought in the D-Day landing on Omaha Beach.
He was also a member of the Alumni Association joining in 2005.
1934 - 2014
Age 80 passed away following a lengthy illness from Parkinson’s He was a January, 1952 T-Section Graduate of Henry Ford Trade School, President of the Henry Ford Trade School Alumni in 1981 and served on many committees along with being an avid golfer at Bonniebrook. He loved the companionship of his fellow club members & their wives on all of the group trips, dances, picnics etc.
Henry served in the US Army as a Paratrooper from 1956 to 1958. Also, worked all of his career in the electrical field with his career ending as Electrical Inspector for both the City of Farmington Hills and Farmington.
Being a devoted family man, he enjoyed 58 years of marriage to his loving wife Shirley along with sons Dennis and Marty, daughters Tina and Andrea, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Henry enjoyed life to the fullest and we all loved him very much.
WILBUR “BILL” J SIMON
1928 - 2014
“Bill” passed away September 26, 2014.
He was a graduate of the Trade School, Class of ’46, “W” Section.
He went on to become a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker, graduate of the U of M School of Engineering, GM Retiree and Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Bill leaves an extended family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
WALTER J. DORF
1921 - 2014
Walter, age 93, passed away September 1, 2014 leaving a loving family of children grandchildren and his Fiancée Estelle.
Walter was an outdoor man, teaching his young family how to fish and hunt at Lake Chemung. He graduated from the Trade School Class 1938. “W” Section One of Walter’s favorite stories was of Henry ord coming through the Shop area talking to different boys. Henry stopped and shook Walters hand and asked him how he liked being a Trade School boy. Walter never forgot that he shook hands with Henry Ford. There are not many students remaining who can remember shaking hands with Henry Ford.
Walter retired from Ford Motor and took up dancing lessons where he met Estelle. He joined the Alumni Association in December 2004.

Frank, age 90 years passed away peacefully at home September 5, 2014. Predeceased by his wife Laura. He leaves behind 3 children, Mike, Mark and Marcia, 4
grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren.
Frank attended the Trade School graduating Class ’42, Section T-A-1 Class President, Lettered in Varsity Baseball, played intramural Baseball, Basketball.
He was a Master Plumber for over 50 years. President of Local 98, Detroit Plumbers Union. Frank was a Past President (1985) of the Alumni Association. He joined the Association in 1967.
